Tiny EarthBag Home Worthy of Greatness

By January 18, 2016Uncategorized

By now everyone knows I love a tiny home.  Well this might be my favourite. Not only is it teeny tiny but the potential for it’s use is endless. The cost to build one varies depending on your supplies but they can start as little as $11.50/sq ft. From rammed earth to adobe, there are a number of design and construction options to choose from with earth-based homes. The earth bag construction appears to be the most cost-effective format that can also lend itself (relatively) easily to the DIY sector. With a bit (ok, a lot) of sweat you can have an earthquake- and flood-resistant home up within a few months. Did I mention it’s bullet proof as well? Hopefully that feature never needs to be tested. Image the number of homeless people who could find shelter with one of these.
