Yonge & Eglinton

By June 7, 2013Uncategorized

Yonge and Eglinton is certainly destined to be the new transit hub in Toronto, hence the all the new condo projects slated for the area.

The largest light rail transit in Toronto’s history is finally set to arrive in midtown. This 8.4 billion infrastructure investment will provide 52kms of rail transit on four different lines across our City.  This new system will link to 54 bus routes, 3 TTC subway stations & GO transit. These 4 lines will be completed by 2020.

Let”s check out the plans (click image to enlarge):

The “CrossTown” Eglinton line (Orange Line) will feature 27 stops, 12 of which will tunnel under ground between Laird Drive and Keele Street. The entire line will run from Kennedy Road to Jane Street.

Here is a closer look at the “CrossTown” Eglinton line.

Phase two will extend the “CrossTown” line from Jane Station to Pearson International Airport.

Developers have been quick to beef up the Yonge-Eglinton skyline around this new transit hub. Here is a snap shot of what has already sold out (in red) and what is currently active on the market (in green).

Let”s take a closer look at a couple of condo projects:

#3 (in green) is 115 Redpath by Freed Developments Ltd. and CD Capital. This building is definitely “bringing sexy back” to Yonge and Eglinton.  An outdoor yoga studio, gym, private cabanas, infinity pool, NEST intelligent thermostats and custom cabinetry…just to name a few features. All of this  just 500m from Yonge and Eglington – umm…not sure it gets better than this. More details on this project can be found here.

#13 (in green) is Minto30Roe. Why love this location? –  Minto says it best:  “A low fat, no foam latte on every corner”. 30Roe is located in the heart of this vibrant neighbouhood just 1 block from Yonge & Eglinton. Minto30Roe”s green features really set them apart from all the other condos.  All residents will be offered a free and exclusive Bike Share program, LED lights and my favorite feature…all units will have one master switch at their unit door that will shut off all lights and fans contained in your unit –  This will help with your hydro bills and will “give the earth some love” as Minto puts it. This Canada Gold Certified Green building has many amazing and creative green features. More details on this project can be found
